Symposium Venue

The symposium will be located at the Grand Hotel Union in the heart of Ljubljana, capital of Slovenia. The invited keynote and oral presentations will take place in the iconic Grand Union Hall, the region’s largest function room, decorated in the Art Nouveau style.

A number of rooms are available in the same building as the symposium venue at special rates (available until 15.07.2025):

  The symposium dinner will be held at Ljubljana Castle, an iconic landmark and symbol of Ljubljana’s rich heritage, offering panoramic views and a unique atmosphere to continue symposium discussions and networking.

  The city centre of Ljubljana is well-connected and easy to reach for international travellers through nearby airports: Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport (LJU), Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE), Zagreb Franjo Tuđman Airport (ZAG), and Trieste – Friuli Venezia Giulia Airport (TRS).

  If transportation from and to the airport is required, it is recommended to pre-book a shuttle service using GoOpti or a bus ticket using Flixbus (at least one week in advance).
